Description
01 / Overview
What this service delivers
When the website claims twelve units and the ERP holds two, a customer ends up let down. Much of this service is agreeing, before anything is built, which system wins when the two disagree and how each should behave while the other is offline. Our sync service relies on an outbox pattern so no change is lost during downtime, keeps field mapping in a document that non-technical colleagues can follow, and logs every record transferred, with its timing and direction.
02 / Deliverables
What you receive 7 items
- 01A sync service between the ERP and web application, one-way or two-way as agreed
- 02A field mapping sheet written for your operations team
- 03Conflict resolution rules for each entity, agreed with you and implemented in code
- 04An outbox with retries so records survive downtime on either system
- 05A log showing every synced record with direction, time and outcome
- 06Alerting for failed syncs and for records stuck retrying
- 07A scheduled reconciliation report comparing both systems
03 / Fit
Who it suits, and what we need from you
Ideal for
- Retailers whose website stock rarely matches the warehouse
- Businesses keying each order into two systems
- Finance teams reconciling ERP data with online sales by hand
What we need from you
- API or database credentials for the ERP, plus a sandbox where available
- Someone who knows the ERP well enough to explain its fields
- A decision on which system is the source of truth for each record type
You share these through the technical brief in your dashboard after checkout.
04 / Outcomes
What changes for your team
- 01
Every field has a single agreed owner, enforced by the service
- 02
Downtime postpones the sync rather than losing data
- 03
A clear audit trail that resolves disagreements over changes
This is a remote engineering service, so nothing is shipped physically. Work is delivered into systems you control. Read delivery & handover and refunds & cancellation for the full terms.
